Christine Wilde, Manager: Public Engagement and Fund Development

Christine has worked and volunteered throughout her life to help alleviate hunger, violence against women, barriers to education, lack of adequate healthcare, environmental threats and poverty. She is a leader in philanthropy, stakeholder engagement and capacity building, and has conducted successful fundraising campaigns for national and grassroots organizations in Canada and the US. She lives with her daughter in London, ON.

This management part-time position was created to develop and/or enhance the public engagement tools and strategies for our chapter network in order to best serve our members and supporters including improving upon our communication with media and internal and external stakeholders; and to coordinate and strengthen our fundraising capacity. We were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity (185!) of applications for this position. The task of reviewing these was daunting as so many candidates demonstrated such a high standard and suitability for the post.

Christine will join us in Winnipeg next week for our annual symposium and is looking forward to meeting our network of members and supporters.
